Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3 reps

Here is a good basic video intro to the deadlift. It is best to do this for practice with a broomstick or pvc pipe. If you have access to a gym, make sure you do not use a smith machine.

  1. During a lifting wod, you want to rest as much as you need between sets. This allows your muscles to restock their glycogen stores. Typically, that translates to two to three minutes between sets.

  2. I did this with a broomstick and I put a couple cans in a grocery bag and tied one to each end. I tried a couple times first with just the bar but it was so light it felt wierd.

    The time was about 10 minutes, and I don’t feel sore but my back hurts. That’s nothing new for me though.

  3. The lifts always seem to be easier with some weight. You want to really pay attention to the squat form. Due to inflexibility and imbalance in muscle strength, that is where people have the most problems with the form. But keep practicing.
