We’re very excited to have our very own farmer’s market. Be sure to come meet Maryanne, Mary and Leah! Here’s a little bit about Heirloom Living Market:
My name is Maryanne Vaeth. Mary Drisdell, Leah Drisdell and I are coming to Crossfit Ozone tomorrow from 4:30 to 7:30pm to meet you and tell you all about our passion – which is Heirloom Living Market.
We are a Virtual Farmers’ Market whose focus is connecting local Farmers/Growers/Artisans with the local community. We believe in supporting the local economy and making healthy, nutrient-dense, pesticide-free, chemical-free, and GMO-free, in season products available to the community. In facilitating communication, commerce, contact and education between local Farmers and consumers, we will all benefit by creating a community aware of options for resources of truly nutrient-dense, ‘heirloom’, healthy foods and traditions.
Briefly, it works likes this, Crossfit Ozone will have its own Market website! Each Wednesday afternoon, when we “open” the Market for ordering, you will receive a Newsletter via email which will let you know about any new products that the Farmers are offering, any weekly specials and Market updates. It will also contain links to articles about “Real Food”!
From the Newsletter you can link directly to the Market, peruse the offerings of the week and place your order. There are descriptions of each product, pretty pictures and prices listed for each item. After choosing your items, you will check out. The following Tuesday you will pick up and pay for your fresh, local produce, pasture raised chicken and eggs, grass-fed meats, raw milk and other items at Crossfit Ozone from 4:30 to 7:00pm.
That’s it in a nutshell!
We want to meet you ~ and we have set-up a “Meet and Greet” for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17th from 4:30 to 7:30pm! We will have some of the products which are available on the website for sale so that you can see some of the fresh, healthy, delicious products available to you on the Market. Farm fresh organic eggs from chickens who are free to roam the pasture and eat what chickens are supposed to eat; grass-fed Water Buffalo, Beef, Pork and chicken; fresh produce, fresh organic blueberries, blackberries; sea salts and organic spices; some herbal salves (for those sore spots after a tough day at the gym); some organic Bakery items including Spelt Bread, Spelt Pumpkin Muffins, Honey Wheat Bread, Ezekiel Bread and Gluten Free Brownies. As many of you may know, raw milk is one of the most nutrient dense foods you can consume. There is much controversy surrounding raw milk; however, it can legally be sold in many states and in some states it is sold in the grocery stores. In Georgia, raw milk can legally be sold under what the Georgia Department of Agriculture calls a “Pet Food License”. The label on the milk clearly states: For Pet Consumption. We do have this product available and it is legal for us to sell it.
Mary, Leah and I invite you to come meet us, see what we have to offer, ask questions, find out how you can participate in the Market! We are excited to be able to offer this service to Crossfit Ozone!
There will be goodies to taste and new friends to meet! Mark your calendars – tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17th; 4:30 – 7:30pm!
See you at Market!
~Maryanne, Mary and Leah
